The Hong Kong Institute of Directors stated that Mr. Yan Jian Guo has demonstrated exceptional leadership in establishing the company's strategic direction, showcasing excellent corporate governance and professional director qualities. He was also recognized for his outstanding achievements in climate governance and for leading the board to take relevant climate action.
In his acceptance speech, Yan Jian Guo noted that this year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of China Overseas and China Overseas Land & Investment. He expressed that receiving the award is of great significance to the company and thanked the judging panel for their recognition. He pointed out that China Overseas Land & Investment has been listed in Hong Kong for 32 years and, as a constituent stock of the Hang Seng Index, aims for a sustainable legacy over the next century. The "Outstanding Director Award" was established by the Hong Kong Institute of Directors in 2001 as Asia's first award for directors, aimed at recognizing the exceptional professionalism of company boards and their contributions to high-level corporate governance. It is a highly influential corporate governance award. This year, the Hong Kong Institute of Directors launched the inaugural "Climate Governance Award" to recognize and inspire directors and boards for their outstanding performance in climate governance.
Representatives from the China Overseas office, financial department, and relevant personnel from China Overseas Land & Investment attended the event.
